History
In the late 1980s Piaggio decides to update che PX model, which was producted since 1977, with important mechanical and aesthetical changes. The 200 cc version (here exhibited) is remarkable: the road-holding has improved, it has a Syncro Braking System, and its performance is higher than other scooters in the market in those years. The project is initially called “Vespa R” (“Renovated”), but is later named “Cosa” (“Thing”) to mark discontinuity from the previous models. The Vespa fan community accepts the new vehicle unwillingly, making its destiny short and unsuccessful despite the interesting changes brought by its project.
